**Disclosure:** Searchmaxxed wrote this list and is in it, and we put ourselves first.

The best B2B SEO agency turns search into qualified pipeline, and it gets your company named when buyers ask ChatGPT who to call. Proof means results from companies like yours. For B2B firms that want one team to win Google and AI search, then turn that attention into leads, our pick is Searchmaxxed. This is our selection. No award or survey sits behind it.

Seven more are worth a call: OuterBox, First Page Sage, Orbit Media, RevenueZen, Altitude Marketing, Walker Sands and Directive. We judged all eight on five things each one publishes about its own work, from B2B proof and pricing to AI search. We read every site on 3 November 2026, so you can check our reading against theirs today.

## In summary

For B2B firms that want to win Google and AI search, we'd pick Searchmaxxed. The rest suit different companies.

| If you are | Call |
| --- | --- |
| A B2B firm that wants to be the answer in Google and AI search | Searchmaxxed |
| A manufacturer, distributor or B2B store | OuterBox |
| A professional services firm selling on expertise | First Page Sage |
| A mid-size firm rebuilding its website and SEO together | Orbit Media |
| A team that wants a published price | RevenueZen |
| A technical company in life sciences or manufacturing | Altitude Marketing |
| An enterprise wanting SEO, GEO and PR under one roof | Walker Sands |
| A B2B tech company pairing SEO with paid media | Directive |

Two of the eight, OuterBox and RevenueZen, publish monthly prices on their own sites. US B2B SEO starts at about $2,000 monthly, and published tiers and market guides run well past $15,000 monthly for bigger programs.

## Which B2B SEO agencies made our shortlist?

Eight agencies made the list. All eight sell to B2B companies in the US. Every one sells AI search work.

| Agency | Best for | Published pricing | AI search offer |
| --- | --- | --- | --- |
| 1\. Searchmaxxed | B2B firms wanting Google and AI search from one team | Quoted after a free search analysis | ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, AI Overviews tracked |
| 2\. OuterBox | Manufacturers, distributors and B2B ecommerce | From $2,000 monthly | GEO; AI visibility in its Enterprise tier |
| 3\. First Page Sage | Professional services and complex B2B offers | Not published | GEO service alongside SEO |
| 4\. Orbit Media | Mid-size firms rebuilding the website and SEO together | Not published | AI SEO service and its own AI research |
| 5\. RevenueZen | Teams that want a published price | $3,000 to $15,000 monthly | AI brand monitoring from its first tier |
| 6\. Altitude Marketing | Technical B2B: life sciences, manufacturing, technology | Not published | AEO inside its SEO offer |
| 7\. Walker Sands | Enterprise B2B wanting SEO, GEO and PR together | Not published | GEO plus earned media for AI answers |
| 8\. Directive | B2B tech pairing SEO with paid media | Not published | SEO for traditional and AI search |

"Not published" means we found no price on the agency's own site on 3 November 2026. Most quote by scope.

## How did we choose them?

We judged every agency on the same five points, using only what it publishes about its own work. That is also all you can check before a first call, so it is the fair test.

- **B2B proof they publish:** named B2B clients with results in leads, pipeline or revenue. Traffic alone counts for less, because a buying committee doesn't buy from a traffic chart.
- **Fit for how B2B buyers buy:** long sales cycles, several people signing off, and questions about security, contracts and price that decide late deals.
- **What they build versus report:** pages, fixes and tracking that go live on your site count for more than a monthly report of activity.
- **AI search capability:** a published offer for ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity and Google's AI Overviews.
- **Price and terms:** what it publishes about price, contract length and who you deal with once you sign.

We started from the agencies Google showed in the US on 3 November 2026 for "b2b seo agency", "best b2b seo agency" and "b2b seo company". We then read each agency's own pages and, where it opened, its Clutch profile that same day.

Why weigh AI search so heavily? Your buyers already use it. Forrester says 94% of business buyers now use AI in their buying process ([Forrester](https://www.forrester.com/blogs/b2b_buyers_make_zero_click_buying_number_one/)). In Semrush's survey of 519 US B2B professionals who use AI at work, 92% said AI had shaped their vendor shortlist ([Semrush](https://www.semrush.com/blog/how-ai-shapes-b2b-buying/)). Miss those answers and a deal can die before anyone visits your site.

## What does each agency's headline B2B result measure?

What an agency leads with tells you what it reports each month. Watch what each one measures.

| Agency | Headline B2B result it publishes | What it measures |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Searchmaxxed | More than $15 million in revenue through search for its clients | Revenue, cumulative across clients |
| RevenueZen | $176K in organic search sourced revenue closed in first six months | Revenue, opportunities |
| OuterBox | A&C Plastics: 1,225% organic traffic, 450% organic leads | Leads, traffic |
| First Page Sage | 62% average annual growth in qualified pipeline | Pipeline, averaged across clients |
| Orbit Media | Federal Signal: 59% increase in organic conversions | Conversions |
| Walker Sands | Priority Commerce: 30 conversions from AI traffic in 12 months | Conversions from AI search |
| Altitude Marketing | ZefSci: "a sustained 20% business growth" | Business growth, in a quote |
| Directive | Inscribe: 237% keyword growth, 32% more organic traffic | Rankings, traffic |

Every figure is the agency's own claim. Ask what sits behind each number, and when it was earned.

## 1. Searchmaxxed: best for B2B firms that want to be the answer in Google and AI search

Searchmaxxed is an AI-native search team. We make your company the answer in Google and in the AI engines your buyers ask. We turn that into a steady flow of high-intent leads and pipeline. One team builds and improves your website, pages and articles. It fixes the technical SEO and earns your place in Google, AI Overviews and ChatGPT. You own the site and the data from day one.

- **Where they are:** Clients worldwide. You deal with the people doing the work, and nobody hands you to an account manager.
- **What they sell:** B2B SEO, technical SEO, AI SEO, GEO and AEO, with service, industry and comparison pages built on your website. Our [B2B SEO page](https://www.searchmaxxed.com/industries/b2b-seo) has the detail.
- **Proof they publish:** Searchmaxxed's work has generated more than $15 million in revenue through search for its clients. We haven't published a named B2B case study yet, so judge us on the free analysis below.
- **Pricing:** Quoted after a free search analysis.
- **AI search:** AI search comes first. We track the questions your buyers ask across ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity and AI Overviews.
- **Reporting:** We report against pipeline, tracking which searches and AI answers turn into revenue in your CRM.
- **Speed and depth:** A team our size shouldn't cover this much ground this fast. Ours does, because every one of us works with AI agents built to deliver client results.
- **Ask them:** Show me where my competitors get named instead of us, and the first three moves you'd make.

## 2. OuterBox: best for manufacturers, distributors and B2B ecommerce

[OuterBox](https://www.outerboxdesign.com/digital-marketing-services/seo/b2b/) suits an industrial company with a big catalog, a distributor network or a B2B store. Its B2B page names the problems those sites have: part-number searches, gated pricing, faceted filters and ERP limits that stop a fix from going live. It also publishes its prices.

- **Where they are:** Copley, Ohio, per its Clutch profile. It says it has "300+ USA-Based, In-House Experts".
- **What they sell:** B2B SEO across technical work, content, links, CRO, analytics and AI search, with web development and paid search from the same team.
- **Proof they publish:** A&C Plastics shows a 1,225% organic traffic lift and a 450% organic lead increase, and Fanuc World shows 550% online revenue growth. 1 EDI Source shows organic conversions up 57% year on year in the first full month.
- **Pricing:** Essentials $2,000 monthly, Pro $3,000 monthly, and Enterprise from $7,000 monthly. It publishes all three on its packages page.
- **AI search:** A GEO service, and the Enterprise tier adds "AI visibility optimization across ChatGPT, Perplexity, Microsoft Copilot, and Google AI experiences".
- **Reviews:** 5.0 from 93 reviews on Clutch.
- **Ask them:** Which part-number or category searches would you go after first on my site, and why?

## 3. First Page Sage: best for professional services firms that sell on expertise

[First Page Sage](https://firstpagesage.com/seo/) suits a professional services or complex B2B firm whose buyers need convincing long before they ever call. It writes what it calls content "like it was written by your own experts", and its industry list runs from law firms to cybersecurity.

- **Where they are:** Berkeley, California, per its Clutch profile. It lists "167 Active SEO clients" and 17 years in SEO.
- **What they sell:** SEO and GEO built on expert-written content, plus conversion work, technical SEO and paid search. Its industry list includes law firms, financial services, cybersecurity and B2B SaaS.
- **Proof they publish:** Averages across its clients: "62%" annual growth in qualified pipeline, "+68%" more client mentions in AI results and "6.1 mo" to break even. It shows logos from Salesforce, Verizon and US Bank.
- **Pricing:** Not published on its site. Its Clutch profile lists a $10,000+ minimum project. It works month to month.
- **AI search:** A GEO service that sits beside its SEO work.
- **Ask them:** What does a month of content cost for a firm my size, and who on your team writes it?

## 4. Orbit Media: best for mid-size firms rebuilding the website and SEO together

[Orbit Media](https://www.orbitmedia.com/website-optimization/seo/b2b/) suits a mid-size B2B firm where the website is the problem, and rankings are only part of it. It designs and builds sites as well as running SEO. Its clients mix industrial, financial and professional services names.

- **Where they are:** Chicago, Illinois, per its Clutch profile.
- **What they sell:** B2B SEO strategy, SEO and conversion copywriting, technical SEO, web design and development, and hosting.
- **Proof they publish:** Federal Signal, "59% increase in organic conversions". Access, "42% increase in conversions". Higginbotham, "92% increase in page 1 keywords".
- **Pricing:** Not published on its site. Its Clutch profile lists a $50,000+ minimum project.
- **AI search:** An AI SEO service. Its own study of 97 B2B websites found visitors from AI were "3x more likely to convert into leads" than other organic sources ([Orbit Media](https://www.orbitmedia.com/blog/conversion-rates-ai-search/)).
- **Reviews:** 5.0 from 36 reviews on Clutch.
- **Ask them:** If you rebuild my site, how do you protect the rankings I already have?

## 5. RevenueZen: best for teams that want a published price

[RevenueZen](https://revenuezen.com/services/b2b-seo/) suits a B2B team that wants to see the price and the deliverables before anyone gets on the first call. It publishes six tiers, each with its deliverables listed, from a content-and-audit plan to a full program with LinkedIn and original research.

- **Where they are:** Portland, Oregon, per its Clutch profile. Its pricing page calls it "a small and intentional team".
- **What they sell:** B2B SEO, content, technical audits, link building and GEO. Higher tiers add LinkedIn posts, original research and CRO reviews.
- **Proof they publish:** Its B2B SEO page shows "$176K Organic Search Sourced Revenue Closed in First 6 Months" and "46 Qualified Opportunities Sourced From Organic Search".
- **Pricing:** Six tiers from $3,000 monthly (four articles) to $15,000 monthly. It runs month to month, with discounts for 6- or 12-month terms. Link building comes included only in the $7,000 tier.
- **AI search:** "AI brand monitoring" from the first tier, and monthly AI visibility audits across ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude and Gemini at the top.
- **Reviews:** 4.9 from 38 reviews on Clutch.
- **Ask them:** Which client sits behind the $176K figure, and how did you count it as sourced revenue?

## 6. Altitude Marketing: best for technical B2B in life sciences, manufacturing and technology

[Altitude Marketing](https://altitudemarketing.com/services/b2b-seo-agency/) suits a technical B2B company that's tired of explaining its own product to a generalist agency. It works in "complex, highly technical industries like the life sciences, manufacturing and technology", and it treats AEO as part of SEO.

- **Where they are:** Emmaus, Pennsylvania, where its team is based. It was founded in 2004.
- **What they sell:** B2B SEO and AEO, long-tail content, link earning and analytics, inside a wider brand, PR and demand program.
- **Proof they publish:** ZefSci's director of marketing credits it with "a sustained 20% business growth". Chemical Concepts says it helped them grow "over 200%". It says its average retainer client stays 3.6 years.
- **Pricing:** Not published. It sells monthly retainers at a flat fee.
- **AI search:** Its AI search work covers content, mentions, page structure, schema and an llms.txt file.
- **Reviews:** 5.0 from 9 reviews on Clutch.
- **Ask them:** Which of my product categories would you write for first, and who on your team knows my science?

## 7. Walker Sands: best for enterprise B2B that wants SEO, GEO and PR together

[Walker Sands](https://www.walkersands.com/capabilities/digital-marketing/generative-engine-optimization/) suits a growth-stage or enterprise B2B brand that wants press coverage and AI search run as one program. It sells PR too, and pitches earned media for its "role in influencing and training LLMs".

- **Where they are:** Offices in Chicago, Boston and Seattle, per its contact page.
- **What they sell:** Integrated B2B marketing: brand, demand, PR, social, digital and SEO, with a GEO service for enterprise brands.
- **Proof they publish:** Priority Commerce, a "470% increase in monthly AI-sourced traffic" from January to October 2025, and 30 high-value conversions from AI traffic in 12 months, "previously zero".
- **Pricing:** Not published.
- **AI search:** GEO across ChatGPT, Perplexity and Claude, plus an "AI Domain Impact Index" it uses to plan PR for AI discovery.
- **Ask them:** Which publications would you pitch for us, and how will we see whether AI answers start citing them?

## 8. Directive: best for B2B tech companies pairing SEO with paid media

[Directive](https://directiveconsulting.com/services/seo-agency/) suits a B2B technology company that wants SEO run beside paid media, with organic results tied straight to CRM data. It measures success "through relevant traffic, conversions, pipeline, and revenue".

- **Where they are:** Irvine, California, per its Clutch profile.
- **What they sell:** Technical SEO, content, on-page work, link building and digital PR, plus analytics and CRM integration. It also sells paid media.
- **Proof they publish:** Inscribe, "237% Keyword Growth and 50% Domain Authority Lift", and a "32% lift in organic traffic" in one quarter. It also cites a "28x" SEO return on investment in a report.
- **Pricing:** Not published on its SEO page.
- **AI search:** B2B SEO "across traditional and AI search".
- **Reviews:** 4.8 from 56 reviews on Clutch.
- **Ask them:** Which of my pages would you tie to closed-won revenue first, and how?

## How should you choose a B2B SEO agency?

Choose the agency that shows results from a company like yours, names the pages it would build first and proves its tracking. Put five checks to every agency on your list. Us included.

1. **Ask for a client like you.** A manufacturer's lead growth tells a law firm little. Ask for the industry, deal size and starting point behind the number.
2. **Ask which pages they'd build first.** Service pages, industry pages and comparison pages sit closest to a sales call. A good agency names those pages from your own Search Console data, before you sign anything at all, and explains why each one comes first.
3. **Ask how they'll answer the whole committee.** The person who finds you isn't the person who signs. Security, contract and price questions need open pages with straight answers, so the people who sign can find them without booking a call.
4. **Ask where you stand in AI answers today.** Ask them to run your buyers' questions through ChatGPT and the other engines. Then ask who gets named instead of you.
5. **Ask them to prove the tracking.** Pipeline claims are only as good as the analytics behind them.

That last check matters. A client's four enquiry types never counted as conversions. Their event names ran 41 to 50 characters; GA4 cuts at 40. The 40-character "career" event counted every time. Nobody had noticed, because the events still showed up.

For a B2B firm, that's the whole pipeline report gone quiet, and any agency's results look smaller than they are. No agency can show you the leads it creates if your enquiry forms never count as conversions in the first place. Check yours first.

Reviews matter in AI answers, too, and our own panel on 29 September 2026 showed how much. Perplexity cited a review directory (Semrush Agencies, Clutch, DesignRush and the like) in 36 of 44 agency answers. ChatGPT did it in 20 and Claude in 15. One agency's Clutch profile had six reviews and was cited 20 times. The same engines answer your own buyers' questions, so ask each agency how it would grow your reviews and listings.

## What does a B2B SEO agency cost in the US?

Published US B2B SEO prices start at about $2,000 monthly for a starter package, and enterprise programs can pass $40,000 monthly. Most agencies quote after a call. Here's what each source publishes.

| Source | What it publishes | Read |
| --- | --- | --- |
| OuterBox, SEO packages page | $2,000, $3,000 and $7,000+ monthly | 3 Nov 2026 |
| RevenueZen, pricing page | Six tiers, $3,000 to $15,000 monthly | 3 Nov 2026 |
| First Page Sage, 2025 pricing survey | Full-service $12,000+ monthly; content-led $3,500 to $7,500 monthly | 3 Nov 2026 |
| SeoProfy, B2B agency list | $5,000 to $10,000 monthly on average; about $17,500 monthly for large enterprises | 3 Nov 2026 |
| The Starr Conspiracy, B2B agency guide | $8,000 to $40,000 monthly; enterprise $60,000+ monthly | 3 Nov 2026 |

Each figure comes from the publisher's own page ([First Page Sage](https://firstpagesage.com/seo-blog/seo-agency-pricing-survey/), [SeoProfy](https://seoprofy.com/blog/top-b2b-seo-agencies/), [The Starr Conspiracy](https://www.thestarrconspiracy.com/insights/guides/best-b2b-seo-marketing-agency)). Read them as offers, not averages.

What moves the price is the work. A professional services firm that needs its core service and industry pages built sits near the bottom of that range. A manufacturer with a big product catalog, or an enterprise adding digital PR, sits near the top. Our [enterprise SEO cost guide](https://www.searchmaxxed.com/research/how-much-does-enterprise-seo-cost) breaks the top end down further, package by package, with prices from US and Australian agencies. Ask what a month buys in pages, fixes and links, then compare that against the fee.

## Is Searchmaxxed right for you?

Searchmaxxed suits B2B firms where one new client is worth thousands. That's professional services firms, cybersecurity companies and enterprises like yours. It fits best when you want Google and AI answers won by one team, on a website you own.

It's a good fit if:

- You're losing ground in Google, or competitors get named in ChatGPT when you don't.
- You want the people on the call doing the work.
- You want to see which searches and AI answers turn into revenue, not just visits.

It isn't the right fit if:

- You need leads this month to survive. Search compounds over months, and it won't switch on overnight however much you spend.
- You want the cheapest retainer.
- You want a published price before you talk to anyone. RevenueZen and OuterBox publish theirs.
- You need a named case study from your exact industry first. We haven't published one for B2B yet.

If you're an accounting, consulting or advisory firm, our guide to [professional services SEO](https://www.searchmaxxed.com/research/professional-services-seo) shows how firms like yours get found.

## Where should you start?

Pick two or three agencies here that fit your company, and put the same five questions to each of them. The one that names the first pages it would build from your own data, and can prove its tracking, is the one to hire.

## Frequently asked questions

### What does a B2B SEO agency do?

A B2B SEO agency gets your company found in Google and AI answers when businesses search for what you sell, then turns visits into enquiries. The work covers technical SEO, service and industry pages, content, link building and AI search work. Good agencies report it in leads and pipeline, rather than traffic alone.

### How much does a B2B SEO agency cost?

Published US prices start at about $2,000 monthly, and enterprise programs can pass $40,000 monthly. OuterBox and RevenueZen publish their tiers. Most other B2B agencies quote only after a call, so compare what a month delivers rather than the fee alone.

### How is B2B SEO different from B2C SEO?

B2B SEO wins searches from a buying committee over a long sales cycle, while B2C SEO usually wins one shopper in one visit. Search volumes are smaller, and each lead is worth far more. B2B pages also need to answer security, contract and price questions for the people who sign.

### How long does B2B SEO take to work?

Most agencies say months, not weeks. The Starr Conspiracy says ranking and traffic gains show up in months four to six, with pipeline in months seven to twelve. RevenueZen says results "typically start to gain traction" around the six-month mark.

### Should a B2B company hire an agency or build an in-house team?

Hire an agency when you need technical SEO, content and AI search work moving faster than you can hire for it. An in-house hire is one person asked to do a whole team's job, from technical fixes and content to links, reporting and AI search. Many B2B firms run an agency beside one in-house marketer who owns the strategy.

### Does a B2B SEO agency need to handle AI search?

Yes. Forrester says 94% of business buyers use AI somewhere in their buying process. Every agency here sells some form of AI search work, so ask which engines each one tracks and what it changes off your site.

### Is SEO worth it for professional services firms?

Yes, when one new client is worth thousands. Clients research firms before they call, and a page that ranks keeps working long after an ad budget stops. Ask any agency which searches it would win for you, and what each enquiry is worth.
