The best AI SEO agency for an enterprise shows you where ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity and Google's AI Overviews name you today, question by question. Then it builds the pages and outside sources those answers draw on, and proves it has done that for companies your size. My pick for enterprise, B2B SaaS, venture-backed, manufacturing and public-sector teams in Australia and the US is Searchmaxxed. I run it, so it's first, and seven others below deserve a call.

I'm Brenden House. On 27 October 2026 (AEST) I read each agency's pages and the eight agency lists on Google's first page for these searches. This is my own selection. Not an award, survey or measured ranking.

In summary

  • Pick Searchmaxxed if you want SEO, GEO and AEO shipped every month by one team, with the AI answers tracked and everything owned by you.
  • iPullRank and Siege Media suit large brands that want deep technical GEO or content-led GEO from agencies with long enterprise client lists.
  • Directive and First Page Sage suit B2B companies that want their AI visibility reported against leads and pipeline, not mentions alone.
  • Omnius suits SaaS and fintech. Terakeet suits brands worried about what AI says about them, and StudioHawk suits Australian teams that want a big local SEO agency.
  • Whoever you shortlist, judge them on three things: how they measure AI answers, which outside sources they build, and the enterprise proof they publish.

Which AI SEO agencies made my shortlist?

Eight agencies made it. One is mine, six are US or European and one is Australian; the table compares how each measures AI answers and proves results.

Facts come from each agency's own pages on 27 October 2026 (AEST), unless a row names a list.

How did I choose them?

I ran the same four checks on every agency, counting only what each one publishes, because that's all procurement can verify before a call.

  1. How they measure AI answers. A named set of buyer questions, the engines they test, and whether the result is tied to leads, pipeline or revenue.
  2. The source set they build. AI answers repeat what other sites say about you, so I looked for a named plan for press, lists, reviews, communities and links.
  3. Enterprise proof. Named large clients, or case studies with numbers, because logos on their own don't count.
  4. Who builds the change. A slide deck, or shipped pages?

Where an agency publishes nothing on a point, I say so in its entry.

What do the page-one AI SEO agency lists have in common?

Seven of the eight lists I read put the publishing agency at number one, and the eighth, Onely's, has no numbered ranking at all. No agency made more than four.

AgencyLists it appears on (of 8)

Siege Media4
Omnius4

First Page Sage3
Omniscient Digital3

My count. The lists come from Optimist, Percepture, Grow and Convert, Onely, Spicy Margarita, SeoProfy, Minuttia and First Page Sage, read on 27 October 2026.

Why do these lists exist? Because AI answers lean on them, and we tested how much. Across 900 ChatGPT answers about Australian agencies, a single third-party "best agencies" site was cited in 168 of them. The next three were a second listicle, Semrush's agency directory and Clutch. If you want to be recommended, the job is getting onto the handful of pages the model already trusts.

That's your agency's job too. Treat my list the way you'd treat theirs: as a starting point, then test every name on it, starting with whoever wrote it.

1. Searchmaxxed: best for SEO and AI search shipped every month by one team

Searchmaxxed is an SEO and AI SEO agency for enterprise, B2B SaaS, venture-backed, manufacturing and public-sector companies. We do technical SEO, content, link building, digital PR, GEO, AEO and LLM SEO, so you rank in Google and get named in AI answers.

  • What we sell: Three managed plans. Growth System ships 30 page releases monthly. Agentic Search Engineering ships 50 a month, plus comparison, industry and integration pages, a monthly press release, digital PR and link campaigns. Custom & Enterprise covers multiple markets, dedicated engineering, custom reporting and original first-party research.
  • How we measure AI answers: Agentic Search Engineering tracks ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity and AI Overviews, and GA4 shows which visits become enquiries.
  • Sources we build: Links, digital PR and press releases, each logged as live, fetched or cited, and that log picks the next one.
  • Proof we publish: Searchmaxxed's work has generated more than A$10 million in revenue through search for its clients. No named enterprise case study yet.
  • Ask us: What ships in month one?

You own the site, repository, content and data from day one, and you talk to the people doing the work, not an account manager. See how we run SEO each week.

2. iPullRank: best for technical GEO at Fortune 500 scale

iPullRank is Mike King's agency. It sells GEO under its own "Relevance Engineering" banner and suits large companies that want the deepest technical read on AI answers.

  • What they sell: GEO, SEO, content strategy.
  • How they measure: Grow and Convert's list says its published "The AI Search Manual" covers its approach "from strategy to measurement". Ask to see a live report.
  • Sources they build: Digital PR (SeoProfy's list).
  • Proof they publish: Its site claims "$5B+ in organic search results for our clients", and Optimist names SAP, American Express and HSBC.
  • Ask them: Which tracked questions moved?

Siege Media is a content and link-building agency that added GEO, and it suits brands that grow through original data and links.

  • Sources they build: Data studies, digital PR and, by Optimist's count, "roughly 3,000 links a month".
  • Proof they publish: "How Siege Media helped Mentimeter generate 250,000 ChatGPT visits", plus Zapier, Figma and Zendesk named by Grow and Convert.
  • Pricing: "From around $11,000/month" (Optimist).

  • How they measure: "We use citation tracking, branded impression monitoring, and interaction modeling to measure AI-based visibility and tie it to funnel impact."
  • Engines it names: ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, Bing Copilot, Google's SGE and "custom enterprise LLMs".
  • Proof they publish: Case Status "went from zero LLM presence to a dominant position across 39+ tracked prompts" within nine months. Organic sessions rose 19% quarter on quarter.
  • Ask them: How many runs per prompt?

5. First Page Sage: best for thought-leadership content and list placement

First Page Sage is a US agency that says it launched "the first ever GEO service" on 9 May 2023. It also publishes its own GEO rankings. It suits B2B companies in SaaS, medtech and manufacturing that want expert-led content and a push onto the lists AI answers read.

  • What they sell: GEO, SEO, thought leadership.
  • How they measure: Leads; its own list cites the "quality and quantity of leads".
  • Sources they build: Its GEO page calls list articles "the largest factor" in chatbot picks, and its team runs "list & database outreach".
  • Proof they publish: Its list names Salesforce, Logitech, Verizon and Dignity Health as clients.
  • Ask them: Which lists, and what changed?

6. Omnius: best for SaaS and fintech companies

  • What they sell: SEO, GEO, content, CRO.
  • How they measure: Its Atomic software.
  • Sources they build: Reddit, Quora, G2 and LinkedIn per Grow and Convert, and "citation engineering" in a 22-point framework per Minuttia.
  • Proof they publish: Clients on its site include apexanalytix, which "serves 300+ of the Fortune 1000", and Nasdaq-listed BigCommerce.
  • Ask them: Show me a client's answers.

7. Terakeet: best for controlling what AI says about your brand

  • What they sell: Reputation management.
  • How they measure: Visibility and sentiment across search and AI answers.
  • Sources they build: Third-party narratives.

  • What they sell: AI SEO, digital PR, schema.
  • How they measure: "Custom AI visibility tracking tools".
  • Sources they build: Digital PR and links, plus a Reddit SEO service.

  • Timing it states: "Most brands begin to see early AI visibility and citations within 3–6 months."
  • Ask them: Who can I call?

What does an AI SEO agency do for an enterprise?

An AI SEO agency gets your company named and cited when buyers ask ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Claude, Copilot or Google's AI features for a recommendation. For an enterprise it means three jobs. Build pages engines can read and quote, earn outside sources that agree with those pages, and tie every answer back to pipeline.

The labels overlap:

  • AI SEO is the umbrella: SEO for Google plus AI answers.
  • GEO (generative engine optimisation) is getting your company named and cited in answers that AI tools write.
  • AEO (answer engine optimisation) is structuring pages, and the schema behind them, so an engine can lift a direct answer.
  • An entity is the company an engine recognises: your names, people, products and markets, joined up.
  • LLM SEO is the same idea again.
  • A citation is a link an AI answer shows as its source, and a mention is your name in the answer, linked or not.

Google's own guidance on AI features says there are "no additional requirements to appear in AI Overviews or AI Mode". Good SEO does most of the work, so technical SEO comes first. At Searchmaxxed, GEO, AEO and SEO run as one piece of work, and our AI search optimisation service sets out the detail.

How should an AI SEO agency measure AI answer presence?

A good agency fixes a set of real buyer questions and runs each one several times in every engine that matters. It records which companies each answer names and which sources it cites. Then it ties that to enquiries in your own analytics. One screenshot proves nothing.

Onely tested this for its own list. It found "four of five AI engines changed most of their shortlist when asked the same question twice on the same day". One run is a sample.

Reading and citing are different things. We put 300 Australian agency-buyer questions to ChatGPT three times each, with search on. It pulled 17,870 search results into those 900 answers and kept 4,389 as sources. Being found is the easy part. About three in four results it reads never make the answer.

What to measureWhat it tells youThe trap
Mentions per tracked questionWhether the answer names you at allOne run per question; answers vary
Citations of your pagesWhether the engine trusts your page as a sourceCounting a page the engine read but didn't cite
Sources cited for your questionsWhich outside sites shape the answerTracking your own site only
Competitors named insteadWho you're losing the answer toLeaving them out of the report
AI referral visits and enquiriesWhether the answers bring pipelineBot traffic counted as AI visits

We found that last trap on an enterprise B2B client's account, in its GA4 AI-assistant channel. A client's GA4 showed AI-assistant visits jump from 354 to 6,050 in a month. Almost none of it was real. About 5,700 came in three one-hour bursts: same 1920x1080 desktop Chrome, all new users, no referrer, about 20 seconds each, landing on two pages. Real AI traffic was 385 sessions against 354 the month before, roughly flat.

The same review found a second leak. A client's four enquiry types never counted as conversions. Their event names ran 41 to 50 characters; GA4 cuts at 40. The 40-character "career" event counted every time. Nobody had noticed, because the events still showed up.

So ask any agency, us included, to check your GA4 for bots and broken events before it reports a single AI win. If you'd rather watch the answers yourself, our guide to AI visibility tools compares the software.

What source set should an AI SEO agency build for you?

A source set is the group of outside pages an AI engine reads and cites for a question: lists, directories, press, forums, vendor pages. Your agency should map that set for your buyer questions, engine by engine, then work to get your company onto the pages that matter. Your own pages are half the job.

Engines don't share one source set. In our 29 September panel, Perplexity cited a review directory (Semrush Agencies, Clutch, DesignRush and the like) in 36 of 44 agency answers. ChatGPT did it in 20 and Claude in 15. One agency's Clutch profile had six reviews and was cited 20 times.

EngineReview directories cited in agency answers (our panel, 29 Sep 2026)
Perplexity36 of 44
ChatGPT20 of 44
Claude15 of 44

For a B2B SaaS company the set might be G2, two analyst-style roundups and a Reddit thread, while a manufacturer's might be trade press. Public-sector answers might lean on government pages. The mix changes by category, which is why an agency should show you the sources it found for your questions before it promises outreach.

At Searchmaxxed, the plans differ here. Agentic Search Engineering includes continuous digital PR and qualified link campaigns, while Growth System includes one qualified link action a month.

How do you choose an AI SEO agency for an enterprise?

Run the same test on every agency. Give them three real buyer questions and ask them to show, live, who the answers name today and which sources they use. Then ask what they'd change first. It takes half an hour.

Then hold every agency still standing to this checklist:

  1. Prompt set. How many buyer questions will they track, who writes them, how often each one runs, and in which markets and languages?
  2. Engines. Which ones, by name: ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Claude, Copilot, AI Overviews and AI Mode?
  3. Source map. Which outside sites shape your answers now?
  4. Who builds. Shipped pages, or a to-do list?
  5. Release speed. How fast can a page go live through your brand, legal and security reviews?
  6. Enterprise proof. Can you call a client your size?
  7. Analytics. Bots and broken events checked first?
  8. Ownership. What do you keep if you leave?

A long list of tasks can look reassuring, but nobody cares about the tasks. You care about what you get.

How does Searchmaxxed work for an enterprise team?

Searchmaxxed runs SEO, GEO and AEO as one piece of work for enterprise, B2B SaaS, venture-backed, manufacturing and public-sector companies. Each plan sets the page releases each month, meaning approved new pages or substantial rebuilds, and how much off-site work we do.

PlanWho it suitsWhat it includes
Growth SystemA company growing in one or two markets30 page releases a month, work on up to 4 existing pages, one qualified link action, AI visibility tracking
Agentic Search EngineeringA competitive or national category50 page releases a month, comparison, industry and integration pages, digital PR and link campaigns, AI answer tracking across ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity and AI Overviews
Custom & EnterpriseSeveral brands, several markets or a large siteDedicated engineering, custom reporting and original first-party research

Every plan includes ongoing audits, a 90-day plan in weekly releases, the build work and a monthly decision memo, on monthly, six-month or 12-month terms. If you'd prefer a smaller first step, the AI SEO Audit takes five business days.

Here's how we do it. We build on a website you own, our Agentic Website. AI agents pull your Search Console and GA4 data, read the Google results and check what AI answers say about you and your competitors. That feeds the Managed Search Loop, which shows which page, fix or link should bring in the most enquiries next. We map your entity into one fact record that your pages, schema and outside sources all repeat. We build each change, check the live page and measure what moved. Off your site, the Off-Page Source Layer builds the links, digital PR and mentions AI answers draw on. For large sites, our enterprise SEO service covers the technical side in more depth.

Is Searchmaxxed right for you?

We suit marketing and growth leaders who want pages shipped every month, with Google and AI answers handled by one team. We're the wrong call if you want a dashboard only, or strategy without any changes to your site.

Searchmaxxed is a good fit ifLook elsewhere if
You want pages and fixes shipped monthly, counted as page releasesYou only want to watch AI mentions; a visibility tool costs less
You want SEO, GEO and AEO from one team, not an add-onYou need named enterprise case studies in your sector before you sign; we don't publish one yet
You want to own your site, repository, content and dataYou need search to fill this quarter's pipeline on its own
You need digital PR and links in a crowded or multi-market categoryYou want reports, not changes to your site
You want direct access to the people doing the workYou're shopping for the cheapest retainer

If the right-hand column sounds like you, one of the seven above may suit you better.

Frequently asked questions

What is an AI SEO agency?

An AI SEO agency gets a company ranked in Google and named in AI answers from ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity and Google's AI Overviews. The work covers technical SEO, answer-first pages, schema, outside sources and tracking of what the answers say.

Is a GEO agency different from an AEO agency?

Mostly in name. GEO aims to put your company inside generated answers, with a citation. AEO shapes pages so an engine can quote them directly. Most agencies sell both together, so compare the work and tracking, not the label.

How much does an AI SEO agency cost for an enterprise?

Few enterprise agencies publish a fee. Optimist's list puts Siege Media from around US$11,000 a month. Ask every agency for one monthly figure, the work it ships each month, and any separate setup or audit fee.

How long does AI SEO take to work?

Expect first changes in weeks. StudioHawk says most brands see early AI visibility and citations "within 3–6 months". Answers vary between runs, so judge three months of answers and enquiries together.

How do I know if my company shows up in AI answers?

List 15 to 30 buyer questions. Run each one several times in ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity and Google, and record which companies each answer names and which sources it cites. Repeat monthly with the same questions.

Can my in-house SEO team do GEO instead?

Yes, if they have the time. Google says AI Overviews need nothing beyond normal SEO, but the hard part is off-site work, which takes outreach, editors and patience.

Should one agency handle both SEO and AI search?

Usually, yes. The pages and links that rank in Google are the ones AI answers read, so two agencies means two plans for one site.

What should you do next?

Write down three questions your best buyers would ask ChatGPT about your category, then put them to every agency on your shortlist, live. Compare what each one shows you. If you'd like us to run them and scope the work, let's talk pricing.
