Disclosure: Searchmaxxed wrote this list and is in it, and we put ourselves first.
The best real estate SEO company gets your brokerage named when sellers search for an agent in your city, on Google and in ChatGPT. It should also show you which listings came from that search. Our pick is Searchmaxxed, the AI-native search team we run. It suits brokerages and teams that want one team building their website and winning their searches in Google and in AI answers. The eight others worth a call are First Page Sage, Luxury Presence, Real Estate Webmasters, InboundREM, FlyDragon, BulletProof, Thrive and inMotion Real Estate Media.
This list is ours. No award body, survey or client rating sits behind it. We read every company's own website on 3 November 2026, and each entry uses only what that company publishes about itself.

How did we choose them?
We started from the companies ranking in the US for "real estate seo company" and the ones the top-ranking lists name most often. Five things decided it:
- Real estate proof it publishes. A named agent, team or brokerage with a number attached. Dentist results don't count.
- Who does the work. A team that builds pages and runs profiles for you is a different purchase from a platform login you run yourself.
- Published price and terms. What it costs, the setup fee and how long you're locked in.
- AI search. A published offer for ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity and Google's AI Overviews, because sellers now ask those tools which agent to hire.
- Fair housing. Whether its page shows it checks content against the Fair Housing Act, since every neighborhood page you publish is an ad.
We quote every result as that company's own claim about its own clients, so treat each one as a question to ask on the call.

How do these companies compare on contracts and fair housing?
Terms vary more than prices do. A six-month commitment and an 18-month contract can carry similar monthly fees and still differ by a full year in how long you're tied in.
| Company | Term it publishes | Setup fee | One client per market | Fair housing on its page |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Searchmaxxed | Monthly, six or 12 months | Quoted | Not published | Yes |
| First Page Sage | Month to month | Not published | Not published | Yes |
| Luxury Presence | Not published | Not published | Not published | None found |
| Real Estate Webmasters | Not published | "No hidden setup fees" | Not published | None found |
| InboundREM | 18 months on website plans | $1,500 to $7,000 | Not published | None found |
| FlyDragon | Six-month commitment | Not published | Yes | None found |
| BulletProof | Monthly or yearly | Not published | Platinum plan only | None found |
| Thrive | Not published | Not published | Not published | None found |
| inMotion Real Estate Media | Not published | Not published | Not published | None found |
"None found" means the pages we read didn't mention it, though the company may still do the work well, so ask on the call.
What do sellers see when they search for an agent?
They mostly see directories. On 3 November 2026 we pulled the top 10 US web results for "best real estate agent in" five cities. Of those 50 results, 26 were directories, portals or ranking lists, and the agents' and brokerages' own websites took just 18.
| City searched | Directories, portals and lists | Agent, team or brokerage sites | Reddit or Facebook |
|---|---|---|---|
| Austin, TX | 5 | 3 | 2 |
| Denver, CO | 6 | 3 | 1 |
| Nashville, TN | 4 | 5 | 1 |
| Phoenix, AZ | 6 | 3 | 1 |
| Charlotte, NC | 5 | 4 | 1 |
| Total | 26 | 18 | 6 |
Zillow, RealTrends and Reddit showed up in all five cities. Realtor.com and usnews.com showed up in four. So a seller who searches for the best agent meets your reviews on someone else's site before they meet your website.
That changes what you should buy. A real estate SEO company has to win your own pages and your profiles on the sites that rank above them. AI answers lean the same way. Here's what we found when we tested AI answers about agencies.
Perplexity cited a review directory (Semrush Agencies, Clutch, DesignRush and the like) in 36 of 44 agency answers. ChatGPT did it in 20 and Claude in 15. One agency's Clutch profile had six reviews and was cited 20 times.
What rules does real estate SEO have to follow?
Every neighborhood page, blog post and listing description is advertising, so the Fair Housing Act applies to it. Section 3604(c) bars ads for housing that indicate "any preference, limitation, or discrimination" based on race, color, religion, sex, disability, familial status or national origin.
In practice, a neighborhood page should describe the homes, the parks and the commute, not the kind of people you think belong there.
REALTORS® carry a second rule. Article 12 of the NAR Code of Ethics says they "shall present a true picture in their advertising". Standard of Practice 12-5 adds that ads must disclose the firm's name "in a reasonable and readily apparent manner". That reaches your team site, your Business Profile and every sales claim an agency writes for you. State license law may add more.
How should you choose a real estate SEO company?
Choose the company that names the searches it will win for you, shows its numbers and lets you keep what it builds. Put these five questions to every one.
- Which searches will you win? Zillow and Realtor.com own most listing searches. Agent sites win neighborhood, home value, "sell my house" and agent-name searches, so ask which of those they'd go after first.
- What will you do about my IDX pages? An MLS feed puts the same listings on every broker's site. Ask how they stop thousands of near-identical listing URLs from drowning out your neighborhood pages.
- What about the sites that rank above me? Ask how they'll grow your reviews on Google and Zillow, and your profiles on RealTrends and Realtor.com.
- Who owns it if I leave? Get the domain, content, design and URLs in writing, plus the contract term and any setup fee.
- Can you prove the tracking? Show me how you count each enquiry before I trust a single lead number from you.
That last one matters most. A client's four enquiry types never counted as conversions. Their event names ran 41 to 50 characters; GA4 cuts at 40. The 40-character "career" event counted every time. Nobody had noticed, because the events still showed up. A brokerage whose seller-lead event name runs past 40 characters has the same blind spot, and its valuation requests never reach the report.
For local SEO in a single metro, also ask how they'll treat your Business Profile. For AI search, ask them to show you who ChatGPT and the other answer engines name when someone asks for an agent in your city.
What does a real estate SEO company cost?
Published prices from real estate SEO companies on this list run from $399 to $3,999 monthly. The one company that publishes setup fees charges $1,500 to $7,000, and most of the rest quote only after a call. Here's what each one publishes.
| Source | What it publishes | Read |
|---|---|---|
| BulletProof, pricing page | $399, $999, $1,250 and $3,999 monthly | 3 Nov 2026 |
| FlyDragon, homepage | $799, $1,399 and $2,599 monthly; six-month commitment | 3 Nov 2026 |
| InboundREM, services page | $500 to $2,500 monthly; setup $1,500 to $7,000 | 3 Nov 2026 |
| Real Estate Webmasters, SEO page | SEO project hours from $200 hourly | 3 Nov 2026 |
| Thrive, proposal form | Budgets from $2,500 to $5,000 monthly | 3 Nov 2026 |
| Ahrefs survey of 439 SEO providers | Agencies average $3,209 monthly; local SEO $1,557 | Updated 15 Aug 2024 |
The monthly fee hides the real commitment. FlyDragon's City plan for its six-month minimum comes to $8,394. InboundREM's entry website plan is $4,000 up front plus 18 months at $750, or $17,500 in all. BulletProof's Premium plan billed yearly is $13,750.
Now weigh that against one listing. Say a home sells for $450,000 at a 2.5% commission: that's $11,250 to your side before splits. A program that adds a few listings a year pays for itself, and one that adds none costs too much at any fee. Compare the work, not the fee.
Is Searchmaxxed the right real estate SEO company for you?
Searchmaxxed suits brokerages and teams that want sellers to find them first, on Google and in AI answers, when one listing is worth thousands. You get one team on the website, technical SEO and AI search. You own the site and the data.
Skip us if you need leads this month to survive. Or if you want the cheapest retainer. A solo agent who wants a published monthly price and a software login will be happier with InboundREM, FlyDragon or BulletProof. A commercial-only firm may prefer a CRE specialist like inMotion.
Choose Searchmaxxed if you want your brokerage to be the name sellers hear, so more listing appointments land on your calendar.

Frequently asked questions
What does a real estate SEO company do?
A real estate SEO company gets your website and profiles found when buyers and sellers search, then turns those visits into enquiries. The work covers neighborhood and city pages, seller guides, technical SEO for IDX sites, your Google Business Profile, reviews, directory profiles and links. In 2026 it should cover AI answers in ChatGPT, Gemini and Google's AI Overviews too.
How much does a real estate SEO company cost?
Published prices from US real estate SEO companies run from $399 to $3,999 monthly, and some add setup fees of $1,500 to $7,000. Ahrefs' survey of 439 providers found agencies average $3,209 monthly. Compare the term and the work.
How long does real estate SEO take to work?
Most companies on this list point to a few months before the first enquiries. Real Estate Webmasters estimates "about 3 months" before significant changes, and First Page Sage says quality inquiries "generally begin in month 3 or 4". Your market, your site and your reviews move that timing.
Can a real estate website outrank Zillow?
Rarely, on listing searches. Portals carry every listing in your market. Agent and brokerage sites win neighborhood guides, home value questions, "sell my house" searches and agent-name searches. For "best agent" searches, your reviews on Zillow, RealTrends and Google can matter as much as anything on your own site.
Is real estate SEO better than buying leads?
SEO builds pages and profiles you keep. Bought leads stop the day you stop paying. Leads from your own site come to you alone, and most brokerages run both until search carries enough of the load.
How do I get my brokerage recommended by ChatGPT?
Make your facts easy to check and repeat them everywhere AI reads. That means clear pages for each neighborhood and service, and matching details on your Google Business Profile and directories. It also means genuine reviews on the sites that rank for "best agent" in your city. Then check the answers each month.
Should my SEO company also build my website?
It helps when your current site is slow or hides its listings and neighborhood pages from Google. If your site is sound, keep it. Either way, get the domain, content and URLs in your name before you sign.
