The best GEO agencies in 2026, on my shortlist, are Searchmaxxed, Siege Media, Optimist, Reboot Online, iPullRank, LSEO, Omnius and Gravitate. I run Searchmaxxed, so it sits first. Pick us if you want GEO shipped and measured every week on a website you own. Call Siege Media for PR and Reddit reach, Optimist for B2B SaaS pipeline or Reboot Online for UK brands. Every other entry comes from what that agency publishes about itself, which I checked on 28 September 2026.

Which GEO agencies made my shortlist?

Eight agencies made my shortlist of the top GEO agencies for 2026. The table compares them on the same four points, using only what each agency publishes.

How did I choose them?

I chose each generative engine optimization agency on five criteria. I applied them the same way to every entry.

  1. Presence. The agency publishes a real team with a location or a working model.
  2. Method. It publishes a GEO process in steps a buyer can follow.
  3. Proof. It publishes case studies with numbers, which I quote as its own claims.
  4. Shipping. It builds pages, placements or fixes as well as reports.
  5. AI search. It names a GEO offer and states how it tracks AI answers.

I read every agency's own pages on 28 September 2026. I made this selection, and I run one of the agencies on it. No survey, award or client satisfaction score sits behind it.

I checked the US results for "best geo agencies" that day. Two Reddit threads, six lists and one directory filled positions two to ten. The DesignRush directory showed 2,084 GEO companies, sorted by "Sponsored".[10] Several of the lists put their publisher at the top, including Omniscient Digital, Digital Elevator and Crackle PR. I do the same here. Read every list with its author in mind, mine included. Siege Media, iPullRank and Omnius also appear on other lists in those results.

1. Searchmaxxed: best for founders who want GEO shipped and measured every week

Searchmaxxed is my company. We do agentic SEO: we build AI agents that plug into your whole Search Console and GA4. Every week they scrape your competitors' sites and read the Google results. They also check what AI answers say about you. That data feeds our Managed Search Loop, which picks the next best job.

  • Where they are: We're a Queensland team, and I work from the Sunshine Coast. We work with companies across Australia.
  • What they sell: Local Search, Growth System, Agentic Search Engineering and Custom & Enterprise. GEO and AEO sit inside every managed package. We build pages, schema and internal links on your Agentic Website, which lives on GitHub and Vercel and which you own. Links, reviews, citations, press and mentions come through the Off-Page Source Layer.
  • Proof they publish: Radiant Roof Repairs went from zero to more than A$1 million a year in revenue, using SEO as the only marketing channel. Before Searchmaxxed, I did that work by hand (case study). By my own count, our work has generated more than A$10 million in revenue through search for our clients.
  • Pricing: Let's talk pricing.
  • AI search: Our agents check what ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity and AI Overviews say about you every week. The loop picks the next job from that.
  • Ask them: Ask us which searches and AI answers we'd go after first, and who approves each change.

2. Siege Media: best for SaaS and consumer brands that want PR, Reddit and roundup citations

Siege Media[11] treats GEO as placement work across the sources AI answers quote. It builds research, bottom-funnel content, Reddit presence and affiliate placements, then refreshes pages on a schedule. It suits SaaS, fintech, e-commerce, cybersecurity, education and travel brands already investing in SEO. Its own fit test asks for a horizon of six months or more.[1]

  • Where they are: Offices in Austin, Chicago and New York City.[11]
  • What they sell: Research reports and digital PR, BOFU content, Reddit presence, affiliate partnerships, interactive tools and DataFlywheel page refreshes.[1]
  • Proof they publish: For Zendesk, Siege Media cites "a 657% increase in organic traffic to the blog" and "98% visibility in LLMs for relevant industry queries".[12] It also says it helped Grow Therapy nearly 4x its LLM visibility.[1]
  • Pricing: Not published.
  • AI search: Every engagement reports LLM share of voice monthly, plus citations earned, AI-referral traffic and branded search lift.[1]
  • Ask them: Which citation gaps their BlueprintIQ analysis finds for you, and which workstreams you can skip.[1]

3. Optimist: best for B2B SaaS teams that judge GEO by pipeline

Optimist[13] runs GEO and SEO as one organic engine for B2B tech and SaaS companies.[13] Its sweet spot is Series A to Series B. It also sells GEO on its own to companies that already have strong SEO. Every retainer runs month-to-month.[2][3]

  • Where they are: The pages I captured give no office address. Tyler Hakes founded Optimist in 2016 and works directly with every engagement.[13]
  • What they sell: AI visibility audits, page-level content work, technical GEO guidance, and tracking with pipeline attribution.[2]
  • Proof they publish: Optimist says a B2B tech client "grew LLM referral revenue 49x over 14 months". It claims 13x LLM revenue for a retail client.[3][2]
  • Pricing: Strategy and roadmap projects from US$7,500. Retainers from US$3,000 a month for advisory work and US$4,000 a month for strategy through publishing.[3]
  • AI search: It tracks ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, Google AI Overviews and Claude, then ties visibility to AI-referred leads and revenue.[2]
  • Ask them: Whether your team can execute their briefs, because Optimist names that as its deciding factor.[2]

4. Reboot Online: best for UK brands that want prompt-tested GEO and digital PR

Reboot Online[14] builds its GEO work on experiments. It tests how AI models surface or exclude your brand across thousands of prompts. Then it strengthens content, authority and earned mentions.[4] It claims "the largest data team of any UK search agency".[15]

  • Where they are: Its contact address is on High Road, London.[14] The team works fully remote on a four-day week.[15]
  • What they sell: GEO content, technical GEO, AiPR® digital PR and AI data cleaning. It has also run invite-only GEO roundtables for senior marketers since January 2026.[4]
  • Proof they publish: Reboot Online says it helped TUI become the "#1 recommended family holiday provider in AI Search".[4]
  • Pricing: From £2,500 per month, with final costs set by goals, brand complexity and involvement.[4]
  • AI search: It benchmarks your AI citation share against competitors across branded, category and commercial prompts.[4]
  • Ask them: What goes live first, since it expects content and mentions "within a couple of weeks of campaign kickoff".[4]

5. iPullRank: best for enterprises with complex, technical websites

iPullRank[16] frames GEO as two disciplines: relevance engineering for the technical structure and resonance design for the human writing.[5] Mike King founded it.[16] Its GEO page sorts buyers into emerging, growth and elite stages. The elite track fits Fortune 500s and category leaders with global offices.[5]

  • Where they are: Staff describe home offices across the US, and one mentions working from "the NY office".[16]
  • What they sell: A three-stage process: assess, prioritise, activate. Elite work adds content engineering, digital PR and executive reporting tied to revenue.[5]
  • Proof they publish: iPullRank says it has "helped generate real, measurable revenue" and landed on the Inc. 5000. The GEO page I captured carries no numbered case study.[5]
  • Pricing: Not published.
  • AI search: It tracks information gain, fan-out coverage, citation frequency, AI referral traffic and competitor benchmarks.[5]
  • Ask them: Which stage they'd put you in, and whether they can help your own team run GEO later.[5]

6. LSEO: best for brands that need third-party mentions on best-of lists

LSEO[17] runs SEO, AEO and GEO as one strategy, with a strong lean toward what other websites say about you. Its Mention Engine finds and places brand mentions in rankings, comparisons and directories. Its LSEO AI software tracks the result across the major AI engines.[6]

  • Where they are: The pages I captured give no office address. LSEO has run since 2014, and its founder built and sold Pepperjam to eBay.[18]
  • What they sell: Six services, from AI visibility audits to technical GEO, entity work, content and third-party mentions. Its site offers a first Best Of placement free.[6]
  • Proof they publish: LSEO reports +399% AI Visibility Score growth and 2,529 AI-referred visitors for Nelson Home Group from February to August 2026.[6]
  • Pricing: Not published.
  • AI search: It tracks mentions, citations, prompt coverage and AI referral traffic across ChatGPT, Google AI, Gemini, Perplexity, Claude and Copilot.[6]
  • Ask them: How they decide where your brand should be mentioned, and what each placement needs to say.[6]

7. Omnius: best for European B2B SaaS, fintech and AI companies

Omnius[19] is a B2B SEO and AI search agency based in Europe.[19] It works with SaaS, fintech and AI companies. Its GEO page lists 20 activities, from AI crawler access to llms.txt files and Bing work. It also builds its own analytics software, Atomic AGI.[7]

  • Where they are: Based in Europe, with UK and German versions of its website.[19]
  • What they sell: AI crawler access for GPTBot, ClaudeBot, PerplexityBot and Google-Extended, plus schema and original data. It builds citations on Reddit, Quora, G2 and LinkedIn.[7]
  • Proof they publish: Omnius says ANNA Money "grew signups by 60% and AI search by 164.44%".[7]
  • Pricing: Not published.
  • AI search: It runs LLM visibility audits across ChatGPT and Perplexity, plus Gemini and Claude. The audits track which prompts cite you and whom those tools quote instead.[9]
  • Ask them: What Atomic AGI will track for you, and how often you'll see the results.[7]

8. Gravitate: best for US brands that want an audit and on-page fixes first

Gravitate[20] is a web design and marketing agency in Vancouver, Washington, working since 1999.[21] Its GEO service runs in five phases and starts with a 35-point AI readiness report. The work centres on the page: answer-first formatting, schema, headings and internal links.[8]

  • Where they are: Vancouver, WA.[21]
  • What they sell: An AI readiness audit, AI query discovery, topic mapping, content, schema, on-page GEO and trust signals for citations.[8]
  • Proof they publish: Gravitate says its clients "have seen a 650% increase in traffic" and a "136% rise in conversions".[8]
  • Pricing: Not published.
  • AI search: It optimises for ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini and Google AI Mode, and tracks LLM traffic, engagement and citations.[8]
  • Ask them: Which pages the audit puts first, and who writes and ships the new content.[8]

How should you choose between the best GEO agencies?

Choose the GEO agency that puts its first 30 days in writing. Ask each one for a plan that names what ships, who builds it and how you'll measure it. Then test each name on your shortlist against the five criteria.

  1. Presence. Ask who does the work and where they sit. You want the names of the people on your account.
  2. Method. Ask for the steps in order. LSEO publishes four steps: measure, understand, build, expand.[6] Siege Media publishes three phases, running from month one to month four and beyond.[1]
  3. Proof. Ask for one case study with the metric, the tool and the dates. LSEO dates its figures to its own tool's measurement window, which lets you judge them.[6]
  4. Shipping. Ask what goes live in month one and who deploys it.
  5. AI search. Ask how they tie AI answers back to your own data. Google counts sites that appear in AI Overviews and AI Mode inside the overall search traffic in Search Console.[22]

Start from sound SEO whoever you hire. Google says a page must be indexed and eligible for a snippet to appear as a supporting link, with no additional technical requirements.[22] So an agency that fixes crawling, pages and internal links is doing GEO work too. Our SEO and GEO run as one plan for that reason.

At Searchmaxxed, the agents read your Search Console and GA4 every week. The Managed Search Loop checks that data against your plan and picks the next job. We build the change and a person approves it. Then the agents measure what it did.

If you want a team in Australia, my shortlist of AI SEO agencies in Australia covers local options. A local service business chasing Google Maps and ChatGPT answers should read our local SEO page first.

What does GEO cost?

Two agencies on this list publish prices for this work, and both start in the low thousands each month.[3][4]

  • Optimist: strategy and roadmap engagements from US$7,500. Advisory retainers start at US$3,000 a month for teams that execute in-house. Engagements covering strategy through publishing start at US$4,000 a month. The page shows a plain $ sign on its US site and no tax treatment.[3]
  • Reboot Online: from £2,500 per month. Final costs vary with goals, brand complexity and the involvement of its AI data team. The page carries no tax note.[4]
  • Siege Media, iPullRank, LSEO, Omnius and Gravitate: no price on the pages I captured.

Optimist's two retainer prices show one cost driver: who does the work. Advice your own team carries out sits below an engagement where the agency also writes and publishes.[3]

At Searchmaxxed, we quote each business after looking at its website, market and goals. Local Search, Growth System and Agentic Search Engineering differ in how many pages we release each month and how much off-page work we run. Our pricing page lists what each package includes. Let's talk pricing.

Frequently asked questions

What does a GEO agency do?

A GEO agency, or generative engine optimization agency, works to get AI answers to name and cite your brand. The agencies on this list do three kinds of work: fixing your own pages, building mentions on other sites and tracking what AI answers say. At Searchmaxxed, those jobs sit in the Agentic Website, the Off-Page Source Layer and the Managed Search Loop.

Is GEO the same as AEO?

In practice, yes. Optimist says the terms are converging and the method underneath is the same.[2] iPullRank says they're the same thing with different names.[5] Our AEO and GEO pages cover both, because buyers search for both.

Does GEO replace SEO?

No. Google says specific optimisation for AI Overviews and AI Mode "isn't required" and that SEO fundamentals still apply.[22] Optimist calls SEO "the foundation GEO sits on".[2] Omnius describes GEO as "an added layer" to SEO.[7] At Searchmaxxed, both run through one Managed Search Loop.

How long does GEO take to work?

Expect first signals in one to three months and fuller results over six to twelve. Siege Media says citation share builds over 3 to 6 months.[1] Omnius quotes 2 to 3 months for first results and 6 to 12 months for bigger ones.[7] Optimist expects early signals within 1 to 2 months.[2]

How do you measure GEO results?

Start with your own data. Google counts sites that appear in AI Overviews and AI Mode inside the overall search traffic in Search Console.[22] Agencies then add AI answer tracking, such as share of voice, citations and AI referral traffic.[1] Our agents plug into Search Console and GA4 and check AI answers every week, so each release gets a before and after.

Should one agency run both SEO and GEO?

Usually, yes, because the same pages, schema and links serve both. Optimist recommends one provider and warns that two agencies create "conflicting recommendations".[2] At Searchmaxxed, one Managed Search Loop decides the next page, fix or placement for both.

Can an agency promise AI citations?

No agency controls what an AI answer says. iPullRank points out that LLM output "is probabilistic" and can differ every time.[5] It also writes that "No one has fully figured out GEO yet."[5] Hire for the work and the measurement. We commit to weekly releases, weekly checks and a person approving every change.

Are GEO directories and best-of lists reliable?

Treat them as a starting list. DesignRush showed 2,084 GEO companies sorted by "Sponsored" when I checked.[10] Several lists in the search results put their own publisher first, and mine does too. Check each agency's own pages for its method, proof and price.

What should I own at the end of a GEO engagement?

You should own the website, its code, the content and the data. Searchmaxxed clients own all four from day one, and the Agentic Website lives on GitHub and Vercel. Ask any agency the same question about its tracking tools and reports.

Can I do GEO in-house?

Yes, if you have people to run it. Optimist says "A capable in-house team" can set up schema, entity cleanup, answer-first structure and a visibility tracker.[3] iPullRank offers to guide clients toward running GEO in-house.[5] Hire help when you need judgement on which gaps are worth money, or hands to ship fixes every week.

How is Searchmaxxed different from the other GEO agencies here?

Searchmaxxed builds and runs the whole system. Our agents work inside your Search Console and GA4, and every week they check your competitors and AI answers. We release pages on your Agentic Website every week. Off-page work runs through the Off-Page Source Layer, and a person approves every change. The others each lead with their own strength, such as Siege Media with PR and Reddit, Reboot Online with experiments and iPullRank with technical depth.[1][4][5]
