Best HVAC SEO companies: our US shortlist of 9 (2026)

Best HVAC SEO companies for US contractors: 9 compared on named HVAC results, map pack work, AI search and typical prices of $1,500 to $4,000 monthly.

Summarise with AIChatGPT logoPerplexity logoClaude logoGemini logo

Disclosure: Searchmaxxed wrote this list and is in it, and we put ourselves first.

The best HVAC SEO company turns "AC repair near me" into booked calls from the map pack and gets you named in AI answers. For an established US HVAC company that wants AI search handled first, by the team that builds its website, our pick is Searchmaxxed.

Eight more are worth a call: Plumbing & HVAC SEO, Scorpion, Blue Corona and Hook Agency. So are HVAC Webmasters, CI Web Group, Thrive and Relentless Digital. We read every company's own website on 3 November 2026 and judged all nine on the same five things, listed below. This is our own selection. No award body, survey or client rating sits behind it.

In summary

Pick by the kind of HVAC business you run, because each company on this list wins for a different kind of owner.

Only Hook Agency publishes a monthly SEO price. Before you sign with anyone, put the six questions under "How should you choose an HVAC SEO company?" to every company on this list.

Which HVAC SEO companies made our shortlist?

Nine companies made our 2026 list. Six of them publish results for named HVAC or home-service companies, while just two of the nine publish any prices at all.

How did we choose them?

We started from the companies Google showed on 3 November 2026 for "hvac seo company", "hvac seo agency" and "best hvac seo companies". We added the names other HVAC lists keep repeating. Then we read each company's own HVAC page that same day and judged all nine on five things:

  1. HVAC proof they publish. A named HVAC or home-service company with a number and, ideally, a period. A law firm's traffic graph tells you little about furnace season.
  2. Local search depth. How the company talks about the map pack, your Google Business Profile, reviews and pages for each job and city.
  3. Published price and terms. What it costs, where the company says so.
  4. Who owns the site. Whether you keep the website, the domain and your data if you ever leave the company.
  5. AI search. A published offer for ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity or Google's AI Overviews.

Every result below is that company's own claim about its own client work, quoted from its own site on the day we read it. We put Searchmaxxed first because we wrote the list. It can't tell you how each company's clients feel, so call two or three of them before you sign anything at all.

Searchmaxxed is an AI-native search team. We make your HVAC company the answer when homeowners search Google or ask ChatGPT who to call, then turn that into booked calls. One team builds and improves your website, pages and articles, and fixes the technical SEO behind them. AI search comes first for us, so we go after the answers ChatGPT, Gemini and Google's AI Overviews give homeowners pricing a new system.

  • Where they are: We work with clients worldwide. You deal with the people doing the work, with no account manager in between.
  • What they sell: A page for every job and city you serve, plus technical SEO and AI answer work. We also run local SEO for your Google Business Profile and reviews. Our HVAC SEO page for US companies has the detail.
  • Proof they publish: Searchmaxxed's work has generated more than $15 million in revenue through search for its clients. We haven't published an HVAC case study yet, and we won't invent one.
  • Pricing: Quoted after a free search analysis.
  • AI search: AEO and GEO sit inside every managed package. We check what ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity and AI Overviews say about HVAC companies in your city.
  • Who owns the site: You do. The site, code, content and data are yours from day one.
  • Speed and depth: We're AI-native, so we cover more ground, faster, than a team our size usually could. You get the reach of a much larger team with the focus of a small one.
  • Reporting: We trace every inquiry back to the search that brought it, and report it against your pipeline.
  • Ask them: Show me the searches in my city where a competitor gets the call and I don't. What would you build first?

2\. Plumbing & HVAC SEO: best for contractors who want a trades-only specialist

Plumbing & HVAC SEO works only with plumbing, HVAC and electrical contractors, and has for 15 years. Its homepage leads with named owners and their numbers. Co-founder Josh Nelson wrote How to Triple Your Sales and speaks at Service Roundtable, Nexstar and PHCC events, by its own account.

  • Where they are: Doral, Florida, according to its footer, which also calls it "A Clic Inc. Company".
  • What they sell: SEO, Google Ads, Local Service Ads, AI search, retargeting, reputation, repeat and referral marketing and web design, run as one growth model.
  • Proof they publish: It claims "7.1M+ leads for 600+ home service contractors" and "96%+" average monthly client retention. Jerry Brittingham A/C & Heat went from 154 to 291 leads per month, with an "8.1x ROI on Local Service Ads". RCL Mechanical tripled sales and grew from 15 to 65 employees, it says.
  • Pricing: Not published, though its fit list names owners "willing to invest aggressively when the numbers make sense".
  • AI search: "AI answers" sit in its Drive Demand stage, and it ran a March 2026 training called "The New SEO, AEO & GEO Formula".
  • Ask them: How many of the Brittingham leads came from organic search and Maps, and how many from Local Service Ads?

See Plumbing & HVAC SEO.

3\. Scorpion: best for multi-location HVAC companies that want one platform

Scorpion is a large home-services marketing company with its own software for SEO, AI search, ads, Local Services Ads and call intake. It says it has spent more than 25 years building that technology. It suits a bigger HVAC company or franchise that wants everything run and reported in one place.

  • Where they are: Across the country, by its account. Its HVAC page shows Google Partner, Meta Business Partner and ServiceTitan badges.
  • What they sell: Websites, SEO, AI search, digital, social and video advertising, LSAs, reviews and AI-powered intake that answers emergency calls.
  • Proof they publish: It claims "$3B+ in attributed revenue driven for our clients". Hembree Heating & Air shows a "$4M Revenue increase", and ServiceOne Air Conditioning & Plumbing a "35% Increase in organic leads". The page shows 4.7 out of 5 from 350+ reviews.
  • Pricing: Not published.
  • AI search: Its HVAC page opens with "Your next customer is asking AI who to call," and its reports include AI search presence and recommendations.
  • Ask them: If I leave, what happens to my website, domain and call-tracking numbers?

See Scorpion's HVAC page.

4\. Blue Corona: best for Nexstar members who want call tracking and lead recovery

Blue Corona tops Google for this search, and its site now carries the banner "Blue Corona and RYNO Strategic Solutions have merged". Some HVAC lists still name RYNO on its own. It calls itself a Nexstar Network Strategic Partner with more than 10 years in HVAC marketing.

  • Where they are: Across the United States, with client logins now running through the RYNOtrax portal.
  • What they sell: HVAC SEO with fresh local content, listings, site speed work, review generation, call tracking and monthly reporting. It also sells PPC and a Lead Recovery service for missed calls.
  • Proof they publish: For Penguin Air, Plumbing & Electrical in the Phoenix Valley it claims "$34M Revenue generated from digital marketing". For American Vintage Home on Chicago's North Shore it shows "500+ Keywords ranked on page one" and a "77:1 ROI from their SEO investment".
  • Pricing: Not published. Its form asks for your annual revenue.
  • AI search: None on its HVAC SEO page.
  • Ask them: After the merger, who runs my account, and which reporting platform will I use?

See Blue Corona's HVAC SEO page.

5\. Hook Agency: best for contractors who want the price before the call

Hook Agency publishes its prices, and no other company here does that for monthly SEO. Its pricing page opens with "You Shouldn't Be the Cheapest Option. We Aren't Either". It suits an HVAC owner who wants SEO, ads and a custom website from one home-services team, at a known cost.

  • Where they are: Its pricing page doesn't give an address. Founder Tim Brown also hosts its roofing and HVAC podcasts.
  • What they sell: Local SEO with AEO, Google Ads and Local Services Ads, Meta ads, and standard or custom contractor websites.
  • Proof they publish: Rolls Mechanical in Fenton, Michigan gained 35 new organic rankings five months after a website redesign, it says.
  • Pricing: Local SEO + AEO is $3,750 monthly. Google Ads + LSA starts at $2,000 monthly and Meta ads at $3,000 monthly. Most Hook clients spend $5,000 to $8,000 monthly across search, ads and website, by its account.
  • AI search: The SEO plan tracks "25+ ChatGPT prompts" and reports on them monthly.
  • Who owns the site: "You own your website 100%," its FAQ says.
  • Ask them: Which ChatGPT prompts would you track for my city, and what do they show today?

See Hook Agency's pricing page.

6\. HVAC Webmasters: best for turning finished jobs into site content and reviews

HVAC Webmasters is a Fort Worth, Texas team with more than 16 years in HVAC SEO. It says it has helped "more than a thousand HVAC companies". Its own software, DataPins, pushes job photos and check-ins from finished work onto your service pages and asks customers for reviews.

  • Where they are: Fort Worth, Texas. It says it does your SEO work on-site there rather than sending it out.
  • What they sell: Local SEO, web design, AI and AEO work, social media and the DataPins tool.
  • Proof they publish: Its case-study page, it says, shows that "authentic job-based content drives increases in clicks, impressions, and queries". The homepage names no client figure, so ask for one.
  • Pricing: Not published.
  • AI search: "AI Overview Optimization" through DataPins, and AEO it calls "an extension of a strong SEO foundation".
  • Ask them: Show me two HVAC clients' calls from search before and after DataPins went live.

See HVAC Webmasters.

7\. CI Web Group: best for a new HVAC site with fixed-price add-on tools

CI Web Group calls itself "the AI-first marketing agency for the trades" and says it serves 1,000+ clients across the United States and Canada. It builds sites on its own Hydra OS platform. It also sells add-on tools with fixed prices and build times. That suits an owner who wants to know a feature's cost before ordering it.

  • Where they are: Houston, going by its Google profile, which shows 4.7 from 74 reviews. CEO Jennifer Bagley leads it.
  • What they sell: Hydra OS websites, SEO, AI search and digital growth, plus a store of add-on tools. It says it has partnered with the industry's largest manufacturers and distributors for more than 15 years.
  • Proof they publish: AirWorks Solutions saw tracked calls up 43%, measured 1 September 2026. Eagle Pipe Heating & Air saw search clicks up 20% and form leads up 129% in its first 28 days.
  • Pricing: No monthly price on the page. Its Hyper Local SEO Boost costs $3,060 one-off. A Repair or Replace Decision Tool costs $1,360.
  • AI search: AI search is one of its services, and it says "a network of autonomous and on-demand agents" supports every client.
  • Ask them: What does the monthly program cost after launch, and can I move my site off Hydra OS if I leave?

See CI Web Group.

8\. Thrive: best for a large general agency with an HVAC page

Thrive Internet Marketing Agency has run SEO since 2005 for clients in many industries, and it keeps a dedicated HVAC SEO page. It suits an HVAC company that wants a big team with franchise SEO, PPC and web design under one contract.

  • Where they are: Its HVAC page doesn't say, so ask which office would run your account. The page links to "Over 1,000 Client Reviews".
  • What they sell: Keyword research, link building, content, on-page and technical SEO, local SEO, franchise SEO and conversion rate work.
  • Proof they publish: Max Mechanical HVAC shows "+349" top-5 keyword rankings and "+19.7%" page views. The client's quote says it "went through four SEO companies before finding Thrive".
  • Pricing: Not on its HVAC page. Its inquiry form starts at a monthly budget of "Under $750".
  • AI search: Its FAQ says an agency should include AI search optimization for AI Overviews, ChatGPT and Gemini.
  • Ask them: How many HVAC accounts has my strategist run, and can I speak to one of those owners?

See Thrive's HVAC SEO page.

9\. Relentless Digital: best for a smaller, founder-led HVAC team

Relentless Digital is a smaller team led by founder and CEO Joshua Crouch, who brings "a decade" of experience, its page says. The client reviews on its page name the people they deal with, from the founder to their account managers. It suits an owner who wants to know who picks up the phone.

  • Where they are: It doesn't say on its HVAC SEO page, so ask.
  • What they sell: Websites, SEO, Google Business Profile work, Local Services Ads, customer retention marketing and call tracking with reporting.
  • Proof they publish: It says "our clients average an impressive 20x on our services". The page names no HVAC client result.
  • Pricing: Not published. Its FAQ says the price depends on your market, your service area and how fast you want to grow.
  • AI search: None on its HVAC SEO page.
  • Ask them: Which HVAC clients make up that 20x average, and over what period?

See Relentless Digital's HVAC SEO page.

How do these companies compare on proof, price and ownership?

Most publish a strong HVAC or home-service result. Fewer publish a price, and only two say on the pages we read that you own the website.

What does Google show when homeowners search for HVAC help?

Google's map pack showed on all 16 homeowner searches we checked, while an AI Overview showed on 3 on desktop and 2 on phones. We pulled Google's results on 3 November 2026 for "ac repair", "hvac company", "furnace repair" and "ac installation". Each ran in Phoenix, Houston, Atlanta and Chicago.

What showedDesktopPhone
Map pack16 of 1616 of 16
AI Overview3 of 162 of 16
AI Overview on "ac repair"0 of 40 of 4

The AI Overviews landed on "ac installation", "furnace repair" and "hvac company", never on "ac repair". That split tells you where each kind of work gets won. A homeowner with a dead AC in July picks from the map pack, so your Google Business Profile, reviews and city pages decide that call. A homeowner pricing a new system takes longer and reads more. More and more often, that homeowner meets an AI answer naming a few companies.

Google says local results are "mainly based on relevance, distance, and popularity" (Google Business Profile Help). Your agency can't move your shop closer to the customer. It can make your profile and pages match every job you do, and build the reviews and mentions that make you the popular choice. Then it should get you named in the AI answers for the bigger installs, where each job is worth far more than a repair call.

How should you choose an HVAC SEO company?

Choose the company that shows named HVAC results, explains how it will win your map pack and proves its tracking. Use these six questions on every call.

  1. Which HVAC company did you grow, by how much, and over what period? A big percentage with no name or timeframe tells you little.
  2. How will you win the map pack in each area I serve? Listen for your Business Profile, reviews, and a page for each city and job.
  3. Which job pages will you build first? AC repair, furnace repair, heat pump installs and maintenance plans are different searches. Pages ready before the heat or the cold catch the rush.
  4. Who owns the website, the domain, the Business Profile and the call-tracking numbers? Get it in the contract before you start.
  5. What do ChatGPT and Google's AI answers say about my company today? Ask to see the answer for "best HVAC company in [your city]" on the first call.
  6. How will you prove a call turned into a booked job? Calls and forms should flow into your CRM, not stop at a traffic chart.

That last question matters more than it looks. A client's four enquiry types never counted as conversions. Their event names ran 41 to 50 characters; GA4 cuts at 40. The 40-character "career" event counted every time. Nobody had noticed, because the events still showed up. An HVAC company with an over-long "book service" event has the same blind spot, and its reports would undercount the jobs search brings in.

How much does HVAC SEO cost?

Published prices for HVAC SEO run from about $1,500 to $4,000 monthly for a typical local program. Most quote only after a call. Once ads and a new website join the plan, one agency's clients spend $5,000 to $8,000 monthly.

What moves the price is the work. A one-location shop in a smaller market that needs its Business Profile, reviews and core job pages sits near the bottom of that range. Several service areas, a crowded metro, a new website or ads management push it up. Ask every company what a month buys in pages, fixes and reviews, then weigh that against what one system replacement is worth to you.

Is Searchmaxxed right for your HVAC company?

Searchmaxxed suits an established HVAC company where one new customer is worth thousands. It's a good fit if you:

  • Have trucks and techs to keep busy.
  • Want ChatGPT and Google's map pack to put your name in front of homeowners first.
  • Want pages and fixes done, not reported.
  • Want to deal with the people doing the work, with no account manager in between.
  • Want to own your website and data, and see which searches turned into revenue.

It isn't the right call if you need leads this month to survive, or if you're shopping for the cheapest retainer. Need a published HVAC case study before you sign? Plumbing & HVAC SEO, Scorpion and Blue Corona publish named HVAC results today, and we don't yet. If you want a monthly price on a web page before any call, Hook Agency is the company on this list that publishes one.

Where should you start?

Pick two or three companies from this list that fit your business, and put the same six questions to each. The one to hire names the job pages it would build first and proves its call tracking. It should also show you today's map pack and AI answer for your city.

Want Searchmaxxed on that shortlist? We'll benchmark you against the HVAC companies taking your calls in Google, ChatGPT and the other AI engines. Then we'll show you where they're named instead of you, and the few moves that matter most. See what dominating search is worth to you. Get your free search analysis.

Frequently asked questions

What does an HVAC SEO company do?

An HVAC SEO company gets your business found when homeowners search for heating and cooling help, then turns those searches into calls. The work covers your Business Profile and reviews, a page for each job and city, and technical SEO and links. It also gets you into the AI answers homeowners read. A good one reports booked jobs, not just rankings.

How much does HVAC SEO cost?

Published HVAC SEO prices run from about $1,500 to $4,000 monthly for a typical local program. Hook Agency publishes $3,750 monthly for Local SEO + AEO, and an Ahrefs poll of 439 SEO providers (page updated Aug 2024) put the average local SEO retainer at $1,557. Programs that add ads and a website cost more.

How long does HVAC SEO take to work?

Expect months, not weeks. Thrive says most HVAC companies see early ranking and traffic gains within three to six months. Leads and revenue follow between months six and 12, it says. How fast it happens depends on your market, the state of your website and how many reviews you already have.

Is SEO better than Local Services Ads for an HVAC company?

They do different jobs. Local Services Ads and Google Ads bring calls while you pay. SEO and your Business Profile keep bringing calls after the budget stops, and they feed the AI answers that name companies. Many HVAC companies run both.

Should I hire an HVAC-only agency or a general SEO agency?

Hire the one that shows results for companies like yours and explains how it will win your map pack. HVAC-only agencies know the seasons and the jobs. General agencies can bring wider skills, so ask any of them for a named HVAC result.

Do HVAC companies need AI search optimization?

Yes, for the bigger jobs. In our check of 16 homeowner searches, AI Overviews showed on installation, furnace and "hvac company" searches, never on "ac repair". Homeowners also ask ChatGPT and Gemini which company to call, and those answers draw on pages, reviews and listings across the web.

Who should own my HVAC website and Google Business Profile?

You should. Keep the website, domain, Business Profile and call-tracking numbers in your name. Put that in the contract. If you leave an agency, you keep the rankings and reviews you paid to build.

How do I know if my HVAC SEO is working?

Track calls, forms and booked jobs from search, split by job type and service area. Rankings and traffic move first. Booked revenue is the real test. Check that your tracking counts every inquiry type before you trust any report.
