SEO in Adelaide costs between A$400 and A$4,000 + GST monthly on the packages Adelaide providers publish on their own websites. Most plans pitched at a local service business sit between A$950 and A$1,950, and whole-of-Adelaide work in a crowded trade starts around A$2,500 + GST. Setup fees, six-month first terms and missing GST notes change the real number, so read past the headline price on any page. Your trade, your suburbs, your competitors and the state of your website set where you land.

I read the SEO pages of 17 providers that sell SEO to Adelaide businesses, and 11 publish a price for their own work. Six don't. Every figure below links to the page it came from, so you can hold any quote on your desk against it.

In summary

Expect A$950 to A$1,950 monthly for most Adelaide businesses, while a contested trade, a whole-of-metro target or interstate customers push that past A$2,500.

Your businessPublished Adelaide plans, monthly
Starter: one service, one part of townA$400 to A$1,200
Established local business, several suburbsA$1,450 to A$2,500
Contested trade, all of Adelaide, or interstateA$2,500 to A$4,000 + GST
Google Business Profile or Maps work onlyA$200 to A$1,450 + GST, plus setup
  • Turn every quote into one figure: ex GST, per calendar month, with setup fees on their own line. Four of five Adelaide lists skip GST.
  • Three of four bill month to month. One asks for six months first.
  • Adelaide is cheaper than Sydney or Melbourne for the same work, and within the city the CBD costs more than the northern suburbs.
  • Price the plan against the profit on one extra job, and judge it by what goes live in the first 90 days.

How much do Adelaide SEO agencies charge?

Adelaide providers that publish a monthly plan charge from A$400 to A$4,000 + GST, and four of the five start at A$1,200 or less.

Each row comes from the provider's own page, read on 26 October 2026, and shows the advertised prices of named providers. Treat them as a guide to the market rather than an Adelaide average, a national benchmark or a quote for your own site.

Adelaide providers that don't publish a price

StepSharp, Ferryden ParkNot publishedIts guide: A$1,200 to A$2,500 for local campaigns, A$2,000 to A$4,000+ national

Not published means the linked page names no fee for the provider's own work, so ask each for a written quote on one brief.

Three things stand out. First, the price lists are short and fairly tight: the published Adelaide entry plans span A$950 to A$1,500 once you set Suvora's smaller scope aside. Second, four lists ignore GST. Third, setup costs vary a lot, from nothing at Loudachris and Digital Marketing Adelaide to A$850 at Suvora before the first month.

What do interstate and overseas SEO agencies charge for Adelaide?

Agencies based outside South Australia, from Sydney and Canberra to India, publish Adelaide prices from under A$800 to A$9,800 monthly. Entry plans sit close to local ones. The top tiers run higher.

Agency and baseAdelaide price it publishesTerms and GST
Aus Asia Online, St Marys NSWFrom A$800 for suburb-level local work, scaling to A$3,000+Fixed-price quote after a site review; GST not stated

Aero Business Solutions, Bangalore, IndiaLocal SEO A$1,180 to A$4,722; all plans A$787 to A$7,871GST not stated

Two more agencies with Adelaide pages, Uppercut Digital in Sydney and Zib Digital in South Melbourne, publish no price at all. Uppercut runs on 30 days' written notice. Zib says an Adelaide campaign costs less than the same work in Melbourne or Sydney, because Adelaide's competitive field is smaller.

The interstate entry plans at QX Tech and LOC'X lean on articles: four SEO articles a month, and eight in the next tier up. That suits a business that needs content. It does far less for a plumber whose service page and Google Business Profile need fixing before a single article will help.

How do you compare Adelaide SEO prices that use different terms?

Work out two numbers. One is the first-year cost, and the other is the least you can commit to before you can leave. Monthly prices hide setup fees, first terms and annual discounts, and those change the order of the quotes on your desk.

ProviderPrice as publishedFirst-year costLeast you commit to
SuvoraFrom A$400 monthly plus A$850 setupA$5,650A$1,250: setup plus one month
LOC'X Basic, yearly planA$9,408 a yearA$9,408One year
IT Central, FoundationsA$950 monthlyA$11,400Not stated
MP LaunchA$1,190 monthlyA$14,280One month
Digital Marketing AdelaideFrom A$1,200 monthlyA$14,400A$7,200: six months
Loudachris, entry tierA$1,500 + GST monthlyA$18,000 ex GST (A$19,800 inc GST)One month
Five by Five, SmallFrom A$1,950 + GST monthlyA$23,400 ex GSTNot stated

My arithmetic: monthly price times 12, plus any setup fee, and where GST isn't stated I've used the figure exactly as printed.

Suvora costs about half the field. Its scope is smaller too, covering pages, links, technical upkeep and a plain-English report, aimed at a small business that needs steady local enquiries. Digital Marketing Adelaide's six-month first term is A$7,200 before you can leave, so ask what goes live in those six months.

GST is the other gap. Where a provider says nothing about it, ask in writing whether a price like A$1,190 means plus GST or GST included. Over a year, that's about A$1,400.

What do you get at each price level in Adelaide?

Plans under A$1,200 buy a fixed, small scope: a few pages worked on, basic profile guidance and a short report every month. Content, suburb pages and links cost more. Expect about A$1,450 and up.

LevelPublished Adelaide price, monthlyWhat Adelaide plans include
StarterA$400 to A$1,200Technical review, up to 4 priority pages, 20 tracked phrases, Business Profile guidance or management, a monthly summary; MP Launch adds one new page a month and an AI answer check
GrowthA$1,450 to A$2,500Up to 8 to 12 priority pages, one or two content pieces a month, citations, link development, AI and organic visibility checks, fuller reporting
CompetitiveA$2,500 to A$4,000 + GSTA monthly content plan, deeper technical work, location pages across every area you want, built for legal, medical, finance or interstate growth
Profile and Maps onlyA$200 to A$1,450 + GST, plus setupCategories, photos, posts, review replies and Maps work on your Google Business Profile

IT Central's three tiers show the pattern. Foundations at A$950 covers four priority pages and 20 tracked phrases, while Authority at A$1,950 covers 12 pages and two content pieces a month.

Count what goes live. A long list of tasks can look reassuring, but nobody cares about the tasks. You care about what you get.

What changes the cost of SEO for an Adelaide business?

Your suburbs, your services, your competitors and your website set the price. In Adelaide, the part of town you work in shifts it as well, because some areas have far more businesses chasing the same searches.

What's The Damage, a quote-matching site that publishes local price guides, splits Adelaide SEO costs by area of the city:

AreaTypical monthly range it publishes
CBD and North AdelaideA$1,000 to A$1,800
Eastern suburbs, such as Norwood and BurnsideA$900 to A$1,600
Coastal, such as Glenelg and HenleyA$900 to A$1,600
Southern, such as Marion and NoarlungaA$800 to A$1,400
Adelaide HillsA$800 to A$1,400
Northern, such as Salisbury and ElizabethA$800 to A$1,300

In my view that tracks competition. What's The Damage says professional services, health and hospitality chase the CBD's searches hardest, so the same page has to beat more rivals there.

Google says local results are mainly based on "relevance, distance, and popularity". It also says there's no way to pay for a better local ranking. You can't move distance. A business in Salisbury shows up for Salisbury searches long before Glenelg ones. Winning jobs across town takes more reviews, more links and more pages, and that's where the monthly price starts to climb.

A worked example: an electrician in Marion

Picture two versions of one Marion electrician.

Version one does home electrical work around Marion, Edwardstown and Brighton. It needs one sharp service page, a full Business Profile, steady reviews from local customers and clean listings across the directories. That's a starter plan, A$950 to A$1,500.

Version two adds solar and battery installs and wants jobs in Norwood, Burnside and up into the Hills, well east of the yard. Now each service needs its own page, and each target area needs one too. Distance works against the business in every eastern search, so reviews and links from those suburbs have to close the gap. That's A$2,500 + GST work.

Same electrician, same van, close to double the fee. Decide which version you are first.

Is Adelaide SEO cheaper than Sydney or Melbourne?

Yes, for the same scope, and Adelaide agencies say so themselves.

Loudachris says Adelaide's competition is lower than Sydney's or Melbourne's, so smaller budgets go further in Adelaide than on the east coast. Zib Digital says the same about its own Adelaide work, and What's The Damage calls Adelaide's local competition softer than the eastern capitals. For the national picture, see how much SEO costs in Australia.

Location changes one more thing. Time. Uppercut notes Adelaide runs half an hour behind Sydney all year, since South Australia changes its clocks on the same days. Codingclave, in India, publishes a two-hour overlap. If you want an 8 am call before the first job of the day, ask each agency about its hours before you sign.

Do Adelaide SEO agencies lock you into a contract?

Mostly no. Three of the four Adelaide providers that state a term bill month to month, and one asks for an initial six months. The differences hide in fees and notice.

TermWhat Adelaide providers publishAsk before you sign
Minimum termMonth to month at Loudachris, MP Launch and Suvora; six months first at Digital Marketing AdelaideWhat goes live before I can leave?
Annual discount20% off a one-year term at QX Tech and LOC'XWhat's the saving, and what's the exit clause?
NoticeSet in writing at Suvora and Codingclave; 30 days at UppercutIs the notice month already paid?
Setup feesNone at Loudachris and Digital Marketing Adelaide; A$850 at Suvora; A$250 for a Suvora profile setupWhat do I own once it's paid?
GSTPlus GST at Loudachris; not stated at the other four Adelaide providersIs every figure ex GST?
ExclusivityLoudachris takes one business per trade in each service areaDo you work for my competitors?

That last row is worth asking everywhere. An agency already working for the electrician two streets away has a problem when you both want the same Marion searches.

A short term protects you from a bad fit, and a longer term can buy you a lower monthly price at some agencies. Neither makes Google move faster. Judge the first 90 days on what went live: pages, fixes, reviews and links.

Is SEO worth the cost for an Adelaide business?

SEO is worth it when the profit on the extra jobs it brings in covers the fee, plus any setup costs. I price SEO against what one job is worth to you, and the cheapest quote on the table can't tell you that.

Say the Marion electrician keeps A$1,500 profit on a typical solar and battery job, and pays A$1,500 + GST monthly for SEO. That's A$18,000 a year. Break-even is one extra job a month. Those are example figures, so plug in your own margin and close rate.

I learned this on roofs. A mate did the roofs; I did the marketing, sales and operations. Before Searchmaxxed, I built Radiant Roof Repairs from zero to more than A$1 million a year in revenue using SEO as the only marketing channel. Three high-intent Gold Coast roofing searches reached number one within 90 days. I did the pages, research, competitor checks and updates manually.

When we reached the map pack it was phone call after phone call: 1,487 calls came off our Google Business Profile. Most of that came through Google Maps. Finding people to do the work became the hard part.

That's a Gold Coast result from my own business, not a forecast for yours. The Radiant Roof Repairs case study shows the work, and our guide to whether SEO is worth it runs the numbers in more detail.

How do you compare two Adelaide SEO quotes?

Convert both quotes to ex GST per calendar month, add the setup fee and the first term, then compare what goes live each month. Work through this list with each provider.

  1. Write each quote as one monthly figure, ex GST, with setup fees, audits and build costs on their own separate lines below it.
  2. Add the first-year cost and minimum commitment.
  3. Ask for the monthly output in plain numbers: pages worked on, new pages written, content pieces, links built and reviews requested.
  4. Name the services and suburbs covered. A quote that just says "Adelaide" is too vague.
  5. Ask how they'll check your Maps rankings across your whole area, from Marion to Norwood if that's where you work each week.
  6. Ask who writes and builds the pages, and what a website change costs if it falls outside the agreed monthly plan you sign.
  7. Ask if they work for your competitors.
  8. Ask what you keep if you leave: the pages, the content, your Business Profile, Search Console, analytics accounts and the data.

One last test for website quotes. A prettier page is great, but if it doesn't bring you leads, what's the point?

You own the site, repository, content and data from day one. Terms are monthly, six-month or 12-month.

Here's how we do it. We build on a website you own, our Agentic Website. AI agents pull your Search Console and GA4 data, read the Google results and check what AI answers say about you. That feeds the Managed Search Loop, which shows which page, fix or link should bring in the most enquiries next. We build it, check the live page and measure the result. Off your site, the Off-Page Source Layer builds the links, reviews, citations and mentions that back you up.

For an Adelaide business, that means pages for the suburbs you serve, a current Business Profile and reviews from the areas you want. Our Adelaide SEO page has the detail. Searchmaxxed's work has generated more than A$10 million in revenue through search for its clients.

Frequently asked questions

How much do SEO packages cost in Adelaide?

Adelaide providers publish packages from A$400 to A$4,000 + GST monthly, and most local service businesses land between A$950 and A$1,950. Interstate and overseas agencies selling into Adelaide publish from under A$800 up to A$9,800, with entry plans close to the local ones.

How much should I expect to pay for SEO in Adelaide?

For one trade in one part of Adelaide, expect A$950 to A$1,500 monthly on published plans. More services or suburbs: A$1,450 to A$2,500. Crowded, metro-wide work: A$2,500 + GST and up.

How much does local SEO cost in Adelaide?

Local plans from Adelaide providers run from A$950 to A$1,500 monthly, and What's The Damage puts single-area local campaigns at A$800 to A$1,500. Profile-only management starts lower, at A$200 monthly plus a A$250 setup at Suvora, before any website work is added. Count your suburbs first.

How much do SEO consultants in Adelaide charge per hour?

Loudachris's guide puts Australian SEO consulting at about A$100 to A$250 an hour. It also cites a major agency directory's median of about A$25 an hour for Adelaide SEO, a rate it ties to offshore delivery. Most Adelaide providers sell monthly plans. See what an SEO consultant costs.

Do Adelaide SEO prices include GST?

Usually you can't tell. Of the five Adelaide providers with published prices, one adds GST and four say nothing, so ask each for its figures ex GST, in writing.

How long does SEO take to work in Adelaide?

Digital Marketing Adelaide says real results take three to six months, and MP Launch recommends giving it at least six months. Profile fixes can show sooner. A 90-day review of what went live is a fair first checkpoint.

Is SEO dead now with AI?

No. AI changed what packages include. MP Launch builds AI answer tracking into its flat plan, and IT Central adds Google AI visibility checks from its Growth tier. Ask which AI answers a provider checks, and who changes your pages when those answers leave you out.

Which SEO company is the best in Adelaide?

It depends on your trade and suburbs. The best one ships the work your suburbs and services need, on terms you can live with. Compare what goes live in 90 days. Our Adelaide shortlist compares the local options, and how to do SEO yourself covers the DIY route if you'd rather keep the budget.
